Installation surfaces must be kept dry and clean-free from oil, dust, or loose rust-to avoid compromising material adhesion or fixation. Additionally, fire ratings and material specifications must be cross-checked against design requirements to prevent the incorrect use or mixing of products with different performance characteristics.

 

During installation, the material must be applied or wrapped in strict accordance with established procedures, ensuring a tight fit with no visible gaps. Joints generally require reinforcement using specialized fire-resistant adhesive, metal ties, or stitching to prevent cracking or detachment under high-temperature conditions. Fastening intervals and the number of layers must comply with technical specifications; particular attention and reinforcement are required at complex locations-such as pipe elbows and steel structure joints-to ensure overall continuity.

 

Quality inspections and acceptance checks are also mandatory, covering aspects such as visual integrity, the security of the fixation, and the sealing of critical joints. Comprehensive installation records and material test reports should be retained for future maintenance and traceability. Periodic inspections during the service life are necessary to check for damage, moisture ingress, or material degradation, with timely repairs or replacements performed as needed to ensure consistent, long-term fire protection performance.
